Interested in music but lacking any musical ability I found my way into radio. I hosted an eclectic jazz program on the Samford University radio station in the early 90's. Then was hired in the mid-90's by Dick Broadcasting as late-night/weekend on-air personality. After gaining two years of hands-on experience and $5.25 an hour, I decided to start a production company and open a night club. I wrote, produced, directed and starred in a 75 minute instructional video on how to bartend. Meanwhile, I opened a nightclub and sold the video through the internet, my club and the Nightclub and Bar convention. As a club owner and trade show booth participant I was asked to be a speaker for a seminar on advertising and marketing at the next NC & B convention. In early 2000 I sold my interest in the club and lost my ass on the production company so I found myself consulting bars and restuarants that were having tough times. I continue to stay active in radio and cable tv commericial voice over jobs. Now I am general manager of a popular martini bar and looking for some sidework in the profession I was born to pursue.
I have attended voice over classes outside of university credit courses. I have had real experience in relating with the public either improptu or scripted. I have worked on a few independent movies as an actor, an extra and behind the scenes. I was in a couple of regional tv commercials (Bud Light and Thom McAnn shoes).
I am currently writing my first novel and always looking for a new project of opportunity.
