Generally, I am pretty new to the voiceover industry but I have primarily worked as a call center professional for an major health insurance company for over 8 years. Because I can be called the 'face' of the company; it is pertinent for me to be able to "codeswitch" or adapt my level of speaking to adjust to my caller.
Since I do speak with a vast number of people (various types of physicians, members (who come from several different backgrounds and educations), and healthcare representatives) I have to constantly switch my tone, dialect, pitch, and articulation with each and every call.
Adapting my voice to callers, has allowed me to change my voice to match my callers to provide them with a level of comfort.

My degree in Political Science allowed the training for public speaking and speeches and was a requirement for several of my courses.

I've learned the art of proper breathing from my years in Marching Band. By learning these these techniques it has made a difference in many aspects of my life.
Another aspect of my experience is my part-time job where I make PA announcements to alert of a lost child, closing, and current sales.
I also enjoyed reading stories to my Godchildren when they were quite young.
