Kristy has worked in radio for almost 15 years, with experience across Canada. Her talent isn't limited to live radio, though. She has extensive experience as voice talent, lending her voice to marketing campaigns for several businesses in Southern Ontario. She often hosts and emcees live events for charities and community events in Cobourg, Port Hope and Peterborough.
In addition to co-hosting the STAR Breakfast crew on STAR 93.3, she is also the Assistant Program Director and the station's inaugural Promotions Director.
Kristy is an honours graduate of the Radio Broadcasting Program at Columbia Academy of Radio, Television and Recording Arts in Vancouver, British Columbia, Class of 1992.
Most of her training has come through on the job experience including work at stations in Victoria and Squamish/Whistler in British Columbia. Those postings were followed by her current placement - four and a half years and counting at STAR 93.3.
Kristy was part of the team that created the station, beginning before the launch in 2002. She created the station's Promotions Department and now works in part as a community liason between the station and its Programming Department.
Kristy is available on an as-needed basis, and has access to a professional studio that can ensure high quality voiceovers in MP3 or WAV formats with turnaround of 24 hours or less in most cases.
Kristy is flexible and wants to work with you to make sure that your next project is a stellar success. From commercial reads to onhold messages and podcasts to audio presentations, feel free to contact Kristy to discuss your needs.
