In a little of two months, I have received over 30 voice over jobs, some of which were series where the writer kept contacting me to continue my part, this same writer also has written other series, again asking me to take the lead role. I have done parts as a doctor, nurse, medical trainer, and therapist. I have done work as the girl next door type, I have done work as the lead in a horror script, I have played a college age mental patient, a detective, an announcer, a witch and a vampire among other things.
I have been active on readthrough.com which has helped me to learn the format voice-acting. I have four years of theater training which has taught me how to develop characters and the importance of doing scene and character homework to portray the proper action and reaction for each individual character.
In addition to pursuing voice acting, I am pursuing on-camera acting, finding myself torn between which I love more. I am signing up here to gain experience and to just have fun pursuing something that I love. Even if this doesn't "go" anywhere for me, I will be able to count it as a fantastic hobby and something that helps me get through work at my desk job. My turn around time for most voice acting scripts is about 24 hours.
