- Began with summer jobs as a pop radio DJ, working as an on-air personality and cutting regional commercials.
- Graduated to radio theatre, in which I spent the next two summers playing various voice characters from Beauty and the Beast's Belle to The Abyss' scientist Lindsey.
- Recruited by Chicago's Screaming Bunny Productions, and worked with them for 3 years, doing commercials for a wide range of clients, including Pizza Hut, Mailboxes Etc., Honda, AlphaPage, EB Games, Old Navy, Hot Topic, and The Gap.
- Recent voiceover projects have been the usual range of commercial work, plus a role as a headstrong female fighter pilot named Nova in the new Battlestar Galactica: Beyond the Red Line videogame.
- Currently, I'm mostly pursuing documentary and television voiceover, film work, and character voices for animated films and videogames - but I also enjoy promo reads, industrial films, and commercials of all sorts. It's all as challenging and fun as you make it!
I'd be crafty and say the University of Life, but I think you probably already get the picture from the experience listed above.
I can record my work on either Audacity or Cubase (PC) and can compress as needed into .wav or .mp3 files. I've got a variety of mics, of which the best for VO work are probably my Shure 58s and my AKG condensor mic.
I'm also a musician and film actress; I'm currently recording a full-length CD of my own indie-pop songs, and have had featured roles in several indie films. Other film contributions have included various stints working as an extra, and eating far too many chocolate biscuits off of the craft services table (burp.)
My VO "dream goals" include more work on videogames and animated features, voice work for documentaries (nature, science, history, travel), and anything else intriguing and challenging that pops up.
Thanks and cheers!
