I did voiceovers as a child; was chosen by World Of Wonder in the late 80s to be the voice of their upcoming toy line. Didn't toy with voices for many years, but in 1996 when South Park came out, found I was able to mimic the voices of all the main characters. Few years later, I interned for Comedy Central and one day recited the entire pilot episode, and the Executive Producer of South Park peeked out of her office to compliment me on my abilities.
A few years ago I was working as a receptionist for a veterinary office(Centinela Pet Hospiotal 2008), and they asked me to rewrite and record their messages for their voicemail system. Last year I worked for a telemarketing company and they also asked me to record their messages for their voicemail system. (Solar Center 2013)
BA in Theater from UCLA, 2000 - Took classes in voice and covered subjects in dialects, Received Pronunciation, phonetic alphabet, breath control and presentation.
Working with Audacity and Voice recording app for Android
I'm cute, spunky and have a bubbly personlity that shines through in my work. I'm flexible and willing to try new things to get a better finished product. While at times I speak quite rapidly, I can slow things down for a better sound.
Though I did not pursue acting professionally, I have a natural knack for presentations and public speaking. I worked retail for Brookstone where I was in charge of all their remote control toys, and every Christmas I would hold large presentations to lots of people while showing off their products. People would buy from me because I showed I believed in the product and believed in what I was saying.
