When Dade City resident Kim Fleming, 63, enrolled in a course on entrepreneurship with the Pasco Economic Development Council, he had the ambition to get into the food and beverage business, perhaps selling snow cones or other frozen treats in the hot days of late summer across East Pasco County. Very quickly however his classmates and instructors pointed him toward another ambition, to become a professional voice actor. Fleming was active in his church choir and had always entertained the idea of being in show business but had never worked in the industry before. A natural bass with a cadence slow and steady, he received constant comparisons to legendary talents like James Earl Jones and Barry White. Pasco EDC entrepreneur-in-residence Mr. Tracy Ingram of Intention Technology, a boutique digital marketing firm, made a few calls on Fleming’s behalf and landed him his first paid job doing a voiceover in a commercial for a cybersecurity firm. Mr. Fleming is eager to combine his enthusiasm for voice acting with his faith. For his favorite demo materials are scripture and passaging about spirituality. With his first paid job now a wrap and plenty of demos loaded onto the popular voice acting professional network Voices123.com, Fleming is poised to become a familiar voice around Pasco and beyond. Keep an ear out for him.
