While in high school at Senn in Chicago, I had an opportunity to speak on a broadcast at WBEZ public radio in commemoration of Casimir Pulaski day. One of the men in charge asked me then if I ever considered a job in broadcasting. He encouraged me to pursue a career in broadcasting.
While in college for a major in Business Management, I took quite a few communications classes, including a public speaking course. You could almost say that I minored in communications.
In seminary, my class on preaching helped with further tips on delivering sermons persuasively. For eleven years now, I have been one of God's broadcasters. My church secretary on my second call told me that she thought voice-over work would be a good side job for me.
I am currently in the process of purchasing such equipment.
As an ordained Lutheran pastor, my voice has served me well for eleven years in various settings leading worship and preaching. I also gave a speech honoring veterans on Veterans Day 2 years ago at Gillet High School that many thought was quite moving.
