I have done several jobs for different clients including Plum International, and Medi-dyne. Plum International was an in house training video, and the Medi-dyne was an instructional video for the use of their new ProStretch Plus Orthotic device. I have also done the VO for a fishing lodge in Canada called MoosePoint Lodge VO for a pheasant hunting ranch called Triple H Ranch. That was a fun VO because they wanted a little rougher country accent injected. Both these videos are available for viewing on YouTube.
I have an Electronics degree (AASET)from a Trade School in Dallas (Video Technical Institute), graduated Valedictorian in 1986.
Attended a non credit class at UTA to learn about doing voice over work.
I currently do occasional work for UnBlind productions in Keller, TX
Rode NTK microphone
M-Audio BX5A speakers
M-Audio FastTrack Pro
Sound Forge Pro 10 software
The reason I decided to get into VO work is over the last several years, I have had people ask me (unsolicited) if I have done VO work as they thought I have a good voice for it. I enjoy doing it very much, and I am very receptive to the client to read the script as they want it read. I know some individuals in this line of work feel they know exactly how it should be read, regardless of how the customer feels it should be read. I am certainly willing to provide input on how I think it should be done, but ultimately, the customer who is paying for it should have the final say on how they want the VO done.
