I have no professional experience when it comes to voice acting but I have years of personal experience raning from just having normal conversations in a non-native tone/accent with people who are unaware I am using it and also doing personal voice over work. Around the age of 10, I would take comics and dub them onto a cassette, reading each and every character by myself and introducing a new tone/style for each character so that they were all unique and it was obvious who each character was. It wasn't done for any particular purpose other than for the enjoyment that I got out of it and I have been doing it ever since.
All of my training has been from personal experiences/encounters not related to specific classes. My ability to speak with a Japanese dialect has come from living in Japan and using it on a daily basis with natives helping me sculpt the language so that it sounded more and more like a native speaker. My UK accent has come from a lifetime of listening to English actors, musicians, watching movies, and also from personal friends. I spend time each day practicing and listening to my intonations, trying to match exactly how a native speaker would sound.
