It came from the weeds!!!!
From a small radio station located in an overgrown field that hadn't seen a lawnmower in years comes a new voice!
I started at a small community radio station in SC where I worked for nearly five years. I placed my "career" on hold to complete a stint with the USAF. Leaving the "wild blue yonder" brought me back to the Charlotte radio market where I worked at both Star 104.7 and at 96.9 WTDR.
I've done everything from local commercials to providing both a Beavis and Butthead impersonation on a regional car ad. Also, I've performed a tremendous amount of production work in all the positions I've held.
I've more recently been involved in the burgeoning internet radio field where I've co-host and provided a tremendous amount of production and voice over work on "Dolfan Radio," "What the Buc" and "Bear Talk Radio."
My background in radio led me to learn mostly by trial and error, sink or swim or simply live and learn.
I've worked with some extremely experienced, knowledgeable and helpful people who helped me understand the concept of conversational delivery.
I attended the Carolina School of Broadcasting where, had I been able to declare a major, it would have been in the audio production arena.
I addition to my radio, voice over and production background, I have also spent a large sum of time in the corporate world where I gained both an understanding and an appreciation for training videos, sales videos and basically anything that helps to sell the company whether its intended use was inside or outside the company.
I feel as though I'd also be strongly suited for work on messages for voice mail, on hold messages, and voicemail greetings.
