Broadway Zombie - I played all of the voices in this animated short, including impersonations of Harvey Fierstein, Elaine Stritch, Patti LuPone, and Bernadette Peters.
Fierce iPhone4S Update - In this commercial parody, I played a new voice for the iPhone's virtual personal assistant--Christian Siriano.
Sons of Dionysus Chapter 6 - I directed and starred in this radio play of the sixth chapter from the novel Sons of Dionysus, written by Jim Knable.
Greene - This new musical by Lee Feldman was performed on WNYC. My characters included a singing phone sex operator and a latino dish washer among others.
The Joey Reynolds Show - I was very honored to be interviewed and perform on this beloved WOR 710 late night radio show.
I was trained specifically in voice over by Charles Michel of The Winning Voice.
While earning my Master of Fine Arts in Theatre, I studied Lessac's method with Deborah Kinghorn. During this time I also had the pleasure of working in the new works labs of both Stuart Ostrow and Edward Albee.
I have been singing my entire life, studying most recently with Andrew Abrams and Ann (Gilbert) Ostrow.
A member of Actors' Equity Association, I have performed in NYC as well as Houston's Alley Theatre, Theatre Under The Stars, & Stages Repertory Theatre and Seattle's 5th Avenue Musical Theatre Company.
I am very comfortable in front of the camera, particularly as I have established a thriving YouTube Partner channel where I have created diverse short film projects for myself. My professional development in New York has ranged from acting classes at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School to a neutral mask workshop with the Movement Theater Studio.
I have created my own voice over work using the following equipment:
MacBook Pro
Ableton Live
GarageBand
M-Audio Ozonic
Shure SM 58 Microphone
My origins in theatre education & community outreach came during my time at the Tony Award-winning Alley Theatre. It was there that I discovered my love of teaching (middle school - adult) and making connections with people throughout the community.
In addition to writing and performing, the bulk of my work experience in New York City has been as a Broadway Usher for Jujamcyn Theaters as well as the Backstage Doorman at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which had me working on Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning plays and musicals with some of the biggest artists in Broadway and film & television. My most recent work experience includes teaching (grades K - 6), curriculum development, event planning, marketing, graphic and web design as well as a great deal of customer service at RoboFun.
I believe that details, efficiency, and results are extremely crucial. A mistake doesn’t merely upset a colleague; it risks the loyalty of your customer. This is where my skills as an organizer have been extraordinarily helpful. I care about the details. I ponder the various logistics. At the same time, I’ve learned that one must be flexible when unseen events occur. One has to think fast, yet calmly to arrive at a successful solution.
In closing, I believe that my experiences have given me an interdisciplinary wealth of knowledge that allows me to think creatively. I feel that anything you do in one field only makes you stronger when approaching other fields. To stay relevant in this ever evolving world, I have kept myself on top of the latest social media. I have taught myself how to make films (live and animated), record music, and design marketing materials from web sites to posters. I find great joy in collaborating on projects and in educating and inspiring future artists and creators.
