I became involved in v/o work because a stranger approached me at a friends party. She said I had a great, bold vocal presence.
I began slowly. As i am a working musician,i tried to fit jobs in here and there, but now i am doing an equal amount of each!
While I do not currently have a phone patch or a home set up, I believe that i will very soon.
Ive recieved vocal training for singing from an opera singer, a broadway actress, and a rock singer!
Ive done a number of acting workshops, as well as improv groups.
For voice over acting, I took coaching from Amy Hartmann, a well known voice over pro, for an intensive period.
I am a very flexible person, I will try new things, and I am exceptionally comfortable 'performing'.
My other career as a professional singer, songwriter, and performer allows me an added creative perspective on voice over work; I have a natural sense of rhythm and of the flow of sounds and syllables. these are my strong suits. I am also a mom, so it is very easy to project silly, or maternal energies as required.
