"You should be on the radio." People have been telling me that for as long as I can remember. With a formal education in communications and over seven years of professional experience in the business world, I have had numerous opportunities to utilize my natural vocal talent. Most significantly, I became the voice of a rapidly-growing staffing company, performing both live and pre-recorded radio ads for various markets around the eastern US, including Nashville, Memphis, Columbus, and Northern Virginia. More recently, I had the opportunity to lend my voice to a series of educational videos being produced to teach English to foreign students. This involved reading pre-scripted material as well as developing my own copy.
My formal education consists of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. While not specifically geared toward voice-over work, it has provided me with a comprehensive foundation in both interpersonal communication theory and practice, as well as media concepts and philosophy.
Over seven years of experience in the business world have afforded me extensive opportunities to study and refine my communication techniques. Whether closing a multi-million dollar staffing deal with corporate executives or addressing a factory full of hourly laborers, I excel at tailoring both the content and form of my messages. By virtue of this background, I am an exceptional communicator to virtually any audience, efficient and artful at delivering virtually any message.
