James Hooper has been studying Voice Over since 2001 and entered the field in 2007. He won Voicetrax San Francisco's own "Voicetrax Idol" competition in 2007 and was signed to Stars the Agency in San Francisco as a non-union talent. His voice over experience clients include Sutter Health, Hewlett-Packard, and the National ELCA Youth Conference.
James has performed in community level musical theater productions that include Fiddler on the Roof (Russian soldier), Children of Eden (Noah), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Ruben), the Littlest Angel (cast member), Cinderella (herald), Ann of Green Gables (station master), and Most Happy Fella (doctor).
Studied at Voicetrax San Francisco between 2001 and 2008. Studied under Pat Fraley, Samantha Paris, Thom Pinto, and Sirenetta Leoni.

In addition to being a voice actor, James is a skilled management and quality consultant and business process facilitator. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and an MS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
He had over 25 years with Hewlett-Packard company as a quality manager, quality consultant, inventory manager, marketing manager, and field software analyst.
He has a working knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology from work experience the health care field prior to Hewlett-Packard.
