Being an actor/singer my whole life helped when my boss came to me one day and asked me to do a voice over for the onboard ship infomercials. He said it was a pleasing voice and felt our cruise passengers would appreciate it. So I did my first voice over for the giant cruise lines, Royal Caribbean. That one went so well they ask me to do another one. From there on occasion I was the "voice" for commendations from behind the scenes, or the information on a phone line for a theatre. But the most workout I've gotten is through singing professionally and being the commentator for various concerts throughout South Florida.
