An author for TrainSignal/Pluralsight since 2008, my voice is featured in the company's call system, in their home page video introducing their training, on a number of TrainSignal YouTube clip intros and outros, and in their Office 2007, 2010, and 2013 courses.
BA in English, minor in creative writing (Bradley University); MA in Literature (University of Arkansas, not conferred).
I began voice lessons when I was in the second grade and continued with private voice training through high school. As a child and teenager I competed in a number of local singing and state competitions, but chose to pursue a different career in education. Currently, I am working full-time at Pluralsight, utilizing all of my skills and experience (voice, writing, editing, and teaching) in my ultimate dream job.
I own several dynamic microphones (Blue Yeti, Shure SM58, Audio-Technica AT2020), and have access to several condenser headset mics (Shure SM-35XLR and AKG Pro Audio C520), other dynamic microphones (Electro-Voice RE20, RE320; Heil PR40) and a sound-proof booth. I also own several audio interfaces and the Cloud-lifter CL-1. For screen capture and editing, I have Camtasia, and a subscription to Adobe CC (Audition, Premiere Pro, etc.).
As an experienced technical writer, author, and instructional and presentation designer, I can be available to write/edit scripts as necessary.
