I am at beginner level for this voice over work, however,I have had extensive experience in using my voice during my job in teaching, reading books and various material to early year children (ages 3-8). I have also gained a 2:1 in English with Education, I have done many presentations for my fellow students, projecting my voice so it reaches the back of the classroom. I have entered Midsommerset festivals, ''Reading aloud' in which I have certificates for competing in this event. This involved reading the extract of a recommended book to an audience. I have also read bibical scriptures from the pulpit at church that I attend and other churches in the past. I have acted in school pantomines where I used my singing voice to act out solo performances.
I have attended speech and drama workshops related to voice. I have had breath tecnique workshops for both my speaking and singing voice, in my local theatre. My job roles have involved communications- I have had experience with talking over the telephone, in sales and customer related roles. I have also been filmed on the ITV news for tutoring an autistic child and this involved a form of media production. I have a degree in English together with joint Media studies, I learnt about voice recording and journalism at university.
I have been selected to be an Olympic games volunteer,2012, I will be working in the department of Press Operations, supporting journalists and photographers, to gain information and research to broadcast to the TV news. I will be using my voice and coomunication skills to ensure information is conveyed clearly , accurately and speedily.
I have simple equipment, I am starting out, but I hope to increase my equipment, as my work increases.
