I havn't any professional experience in voice talent. However, I have been in customer service for 20 years whether it be by phone or in person. I've been a hairstylist which I learned to speak softly being so close to the ear. I have been in business with my husband for 16 years and have had to set up all our phone systems with message machines and voice mails, cell phones and such. I have customers ask me about my voice and my age all the time. I sound more like I'm in my 20's I've been told a number of times. Currently I have a job working for Food Perspectives as a caller (recruiter) for taste tests and make 500-1000 calls a week reading scripts and qualifying panelists to taste test.
I have no degrees. I have only the experience from having to make telemarketing calls for my personal business to reading scripts for another business and from customers questioning my age. I love to sing, but no professional training there. Years ago I was in performing arts, but that was in high school. I have an Uncle through marriage who has done voice overs and is in productions at the Old Log theater in Chanhassen, MN. along with the Chanhassen dinner theater. I feel that I would be good at this. We also had a radio station dub a tape for us for a radio commercial and we came up with the script.
I feel I have left enough messages on customer message machines to get them to call me back to do work for them. I have always had customer service jobs. You will have to just check me out and see for yourself.
