I have recorded specifically for Sound Talking Limited who make commercial recordings of all kinds for companies, local authorities, large landlords (for example tenants and residents newsletters), catalogues and so on. This is paid professional work.
In addition I have worked in the charitable sphere reading magazine and newspaper articles for blind and visually impaired people.
All of the above work has been done in 2009 and 2010.
I have a licentiate in acting from LAMDA, (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) dating from 1986. I also have a silver medal from The Poetry Society. Both of these qualifications entail examination by senior industry professionals.
I studied acting privately with Marion Naylor, formerly an acting tutor at London's Central School of Speech and Drama, at which I have also taken separate classes in Shakespeare and Singing.
In my former profession as a lawyer, I regularly appeared in courts and tribunals in England and had to communicate effectively and clearly with a very diverse clientele.
I believe that I may be able to assist clients in editing and correcting text for speech. I think this is very important indeed. All voice work needs to reach its market in the most appropriate form and writing is the basis of all voice work save for improvisation and conversation. Good editing and text work will save costly errors.
I have good standard French and Spanish (although not native) and I have had past experience of legal French. I can assist in text work both in French and Spanish. As my qualifications show I have specific ability in verse speaking.
