I am on air as a weekend warrior at 99.3 WJZS The Bridge (993wjzs.com) playing Blues and light Jazz. I emcee a summer show called Blues on the Beach which attracts nearly 2000 people each week! Among my experiences, I have introduced acts on stage at the Newport Jazz Festival, most recently Dr John! Report traffic news on the radio and televison, was an auction announcer on a PBS TV station in Springfield MA. A fun moment was announcing trains at Penn Station in New York City one Saturday afternoon while filming a cable project on travel! A personal magic moment watching a bustling railway hub almost stop as people tuned into the voice announcing Amtrak departures to Chicago, Boston and Washington DC. I think most people made it to the Raritan Valley line train!
If you need a smooth voice, with a different twist, something comedic ala Monty Python, or looking for a touch of class to promote your commodity, then please give me a call
I cut my teeth as a DJ on Hospital Radio Fairfield just outside Letchworth in Herts England. I have had no formal training, but learned the ropes by trial and error on the hospital station.
When I came to the US, I was hired by 94.7WMAS in Springfield (AC) for weekend work, progressing to overnights. (#1 music show in Springfield!). Other tours of duty include Radio 104 Hartford, 997The Hawk in Providence, and 99.3WERI prior to it becoming Swing FM and now The Bridge. I also used to cover morning duties at 1400 WILI in Willimantic as needed. For the last seven years I have been working in Providence as the morning producer for Metro Networks, gathering information for our team of reporters. I have also reported the traffic when needed due to staff absences. My training comes from hands on experience!
