People always commen on my distintive voice. I did college radio for 4 years and 2 years after that with a broadcast subscription service, Kaliediscope. I had my own show on the subscription service, Sixties Beat, which covered the music of a single sixties artist for the whole 30 minutes. I did unscripted fill between songs and two 30 second PSAs pn each broadcast. I am very excited at the prospect of using my voice like that again. Being on radio is one of my fondest memories.
I have no formal training in voice, just real work experience. I have made it a point to always speak clearly and to use my voice to full advantage whenever I can. I write for a living, so I have an extensive vocabulary which I use as much as possible when speaking.
I consider myself 'new' to the voiceover market, even though I did it for a period of 6 years at one stage of my life. Now, with a fully mature voice, I look forward to a chance to recapture the fun and excitement I enjoyed 25 years ago, using my ability to its fullest. If I can make a buck along the way, all the better.
