I'm just now beginning to explore this world, although I have always loved playing around with my voice and seeing what it could do. My first and only experience with voice over work is being selected as one of three voices for a public service announcement for the Peace Corps. It was volunteer work, but I was really intrigued by the idea of doing it for work because I had so much fun doing it. I was also told that I was a natural by those recording my voice at the studio.
I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish language and literature and a professional teaching certificate in the state of Florida. I have also worked with a bit of theatre in my life.
I unfortunately do not currently have any equipment except for a handheld voice recorder, but I am more than willing to visit a local studio and am eager to learn more about the industry to see if I can acquire what is necessary.
I can speak Spanish fluently. My natural accent is neutral because I grew up with a Spanish mother, but spent a few years in Latin America.
