I've been the "go-to" guy for American (and increasingly British) voice overs in Mumbai for over 10 years now. I came to India to work as an actor (and have become a known face on the Indian big and small screens) but voice jobs have become an important and passionate part of my work. I've recorded for countless feature films, TV ads, corporate films, websites, and e learning projects.
My clients include: National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, MTV, Cadbury's, Samsung, Amazon, Vodafone, Tata Docomo, MTS, Lifebuoy, Pepsi, Axe, Crizal, Star World Sports, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Chevrolet, Adidas, Castrol, LG, Bharat Matrimony, Hurix, TCS, HCL, Wipro, Carlton, Micromax, Karbonn, Spice, Lenovo, Zen Mobile, Dixcy Scott, Ekta World, Kanakia, Reliance Mumbai Metro, Larsen & Toubro, KARCO, Tata Communications, Sterling and Wilson, Electrotherm, Cap Gemini, NetCore, Vat 69, Grant's, Teachers, Mindtree, HUL, Polo, Parle Agro, Jet Privilege, Ruosh Shoes, and many more.
I stay on top of voice technique trends in the industry, but over the last seven years here in Mumbai, I've primarily learned by being a busy voice artist. By now, I know how the industry works here and how to navigate the twists and turns of a recording session, and especially how to find that sweet spot where all the myriad parties involved (agency, producers, engineer, director, client, client's mom, chaiwalla, etc.) are happy. My delivery is technically sound and my years of acting experience ensure my performance always exceeds expectations.
Shure PG-42 Microphone at home, but I almost always record at one of the gajillion fine professional studios here in Mumbai.
As a professional actor, I enjoy doing lots of different character voices and exploring the widest range of moods and emotions a script has to offer.
As an American who's lived in Mumbai for seven years and learned Hindi, I've got the cross-cultural angle covered. I even spent two and a half years as a call center training consultant focusing on language and cross-cultural skills training. I love making sure all the stakeholders in a particular recording session are at ease, we all have a good time, and we end up with an awesome recording.
I can speak fluent Hindi (with an accent I'm told is really cool) which comes in handy all the time. I have enough skill with language and accents in general to perform in languages I've never spoken before, given a little time.
