KGER, AM 1390!--sorry. Call letters are the first thing out of my mouth, usually, because I am a radio broadcaster!
In my nine years at KGER, in Long Beach, California, I recorded commercials, interviews and station promos. These were used to promote the station and its advertisers throughout the broadcast day, while the public-affairs interviews
were generally aired early Saturday mornings, and the celebrity interviews happened on a weekend entertainment show. When the station closed in 1997, I went on to do interviews and some on-air stock reports for KMNY, in Pomona, and
an occasional weekend shift for KKLA, in Glendale.
Since 1999, I've done mostly behind-the-scenes work for two major talk stations in Los Angeles. However, my heart's in doing the live-radio, on-air thing, and always will be. So, the more voiceover/radio experience I get, to hone my craft, the better!
