I have been in broadcating for 20 years. (after an unsuccessful turn at retail) To my great delight, I am currently the midday host on a light AC station. I have a daily show where I am resonsible for the weather forecasts as well as the show content. I do my own voice-over production in the station studio. Prior to my current position, I was an on-air news reporter at 2 other stations and had the afternoon drive shift at another. I have done narration work for the National Marine Sanctuary, banks, TV, web sites and on-hold messages. I have a lifetime (literally)of theatre experience to draw from. I truly enjoy my work and I continue to explore the many opportunities in the industry.
I've been a character all my life! Started doing theatre when I was 7 and haven't stopped since. (that translates into 50 years of observations!) I continued studying acting and voice throughout my schooling including majoring in theatre and voice in college. I have performed in MANY stage shows from dramas to musicals. I have created a variety of characters (from those life observations) which I use in my commercial productions. I have sung in choruses, bands and soloed at coffeehouses (yes, an aging hippie!)
I have an in-home studio where I currently produce voice-overs for on hold messages, voice mail greetings, voice at the pumps (for gas stations) and voice over for supermarkets (that voice in the ceiling!) I also produce commercials for TV and radio as well as for narrations and web sites. I can usually turn work around within 24 hours (or sooner if needed)Available formats are MP3,WAV,AIFF and over night CD.
