From the time I was in high school, I was told I had a “radio voice,” although most of my career has been spent in print journalism.
In 2005, however, I appeared as a guest on a now-defunct sports talk show and was subsequently asked to be a permanent co-host.
After that, I was hooked on phonics.
Since then, I’ve produced a variety of business and sports podcasts and have done some promos as well.
The bulk of my training has been the experience of live radio and countless interviews with business execs and sports figures alike as a freelance writer and newspaper reporter.
I flirted with the notion of becoming an actor once but thought I would be a lousy waiter.
One of the biggest assets I have is a vocal sincerity that connects with listeners. My professional writing background also helps with word flow and emphasis.
I am also easy to work with and able to take criticism and follow directions.
