For many years, I have served as the master of ceremonies for a number of local events and activities to offer a polished voice and persona that engages the audience.
For two years in a row, I served as the VOG for the annual Ford Freedom Awards show.
Locally, I have had experiences as characters in a variety of non-major plays and musical productions.
My voice has been used frequently at WMUZ radio station in Detroit, MI as the primary voice for radio spots, and as a featured character in the ad.
In my home church, the church announcements are presented to the congregation in a formal news video production (resembling network news broadcasts). From time to time, I am used as one of the reporters to present the announcements in the video presentation.
A local public relations firm in metropolitan Detroit has used my voice for their voice mail and phone system.
I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations. Many of my college courses included, but were not limited to speech 101, persuasive speaking, news reporting, news editing, writing for radio, TV and film course, and a voice and articulation course.
I have had classical vocal training for two years. I do read sheet music for piano, trumpet and drums. I also sight read for vocals.
As a musician and vocalist, I have a variety of recording studio experience. My experience includes recording as a vocalist and drummer, as well as sequencing and programming drum machines. Furthermore, I possess several years of audio engineering experience...working with top of the line digital and analog audio boards.
In my home office, my audio recording/editing software access includes Logic Pro, Ableton Live and Audacity. I do not own a professional studio, but have access to a local studio for recording needs. The studio uses current state-of-the-art hardware and software. Software uses include, but are not limited to Logic Pro, Pro Tools, ProForma, Final NotePad, and Audacity.
My professional background includes experience in public and community relations, marketing communications, advertising, and sales. I have excellent writing and editing skills.
