My very first job was at ten years old reading the newspaper to a blind woman, she was very delightful and gave me confidence in my reading. Since then I have used my voice in many different ways - as a lay leader for my church (starting at 15) as an air traffic controller - needing to enunciate very clearly and be understand in all conditions by both native and non-native speakers. But my favorite and longest running gig has been reading to my children - lots and lots of books in character - from Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are" to J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Now as a professional voice talent I rely heavily on those skills I have mastered - and continue to find new opportunities to learn more in professional bookings, formal education and real-life experiences.

Using Audacity
I have worked in the aviation field, in engineering and in the medical community, and I am very familiar with highly technical vocabulary. I can be very professional and clear in using the terminology of these fields making it easy for the lay person to understand the message.
