I have no professional experience yet, but with the way people often request certain voices or dialogue, this is a field I would love to break into.
I am just getting started in this field. I've been doing voices and quoting dialogues as closely as I could since I was a child. I never thought I would be able to get work with my voice, living in a small Michigan town.
I don't have any professional equipment, but I do have a computer, with software I use to alter sound. For fun, sometimes I will copy dialogue from movies and television to come up with something to laugh about later. I know that I can't share my work due to copyright issues, but I would love to be able to work on my own recordings and submit them for radio/television/etc.
I work as a Quality Technician in a factory primarily. I have to use my voice constantly to conduct meetings, and train new employees. I can be stern and direct when I have to, but when I can create a good relationship with someone new at work, I prefer to keep light-hearted, bordering silly to keep them at ease in an uncomfortable situation. I sing silly song snippets and occasionally use voices for laughs.
