As a phone solicitor I've had less than 10 seconds to prevent a hang up, my voice can be sharp, high, slow, low, anything it took to prevent a hang up and then move to a "voice" to seal the deal. As a bank teller, I've been "professional and upright". For the hard of hearing, I've been told by seniors whom I've read the newspapers to, I've got a loud, clear conversational voice which many liked the best. For my babysitting/nanny/school teacher decades I've read so many children books (most kids preferred my reading style to the TV!), I could recite them in my sleep. My last "job" was in a documentary: Four Corners (fourcornersmvoie.com) over the 2012 summer videotaped in the Portland-Metro area, Oregon.
I spent four years in high school learning voice/singing techniques and projection. I graduated in 1995-97 with an AA, BA in English Lit., and a Masters in Education. During that time I learned how to "Story Tell" from professional storytellers, how to project a commanding voice in classrooms, as well as how to make different voices for storybook characters along the way.
I have Audacity 2.0.0. I'm still learning it as is my husband (he operates it the most). I have several musical instruments (flute, guitars, and a keyboard) to aid in making music.
I have an extremely LOUD voice. When I sing or get excited, I can really belt it out. In high school, I was known as "Power Alto" for drowning a 100+ voice choir and accompanying piano!! My voices can be extreme, and at times, may require ear plugs for those with sensitive ears (esp. the high pitch ones, or so my Chihuahua says)! I've been known to scare children with my cackles, make grown men cry big tears begging me to stop talking, and the reverse is also true, I'm soft, warm, soothing, and quiet. I'm never boring!
