I have no formal acting training, beyond an honours degree in English Language, Literature & Drama from the University of London. However, I have a 'natural gift', which has been honed through various jobs involving the use of my voice: from telesales, to working in 'industrial espionage' (ad-libbing in character, where there was slightly more at stake than a bad review if I didn't give a convincing performance), to teaching, to story-telling, to acting on stage, to being one half of the multi-character comedy double act TWO'S A CROWD, to acting on TV, to recently landing a minor part in Martin Scorsase's ground-braking film, 'The Invention of Hugo Cabret'.
None, at present.
Some experience with singing - baritone/bass - on stage, with solos, duets, and three, four, and five part harmonies.
A long standing member of The Purple Theatre Company and its management team, in various roles including Publicity Manager, Social Secretary, and Sponsorship Manager;
Experienced in many aspects of production - including script writing, directing, producing, crewing, performing, and promoting – and therefore possessing an understanding of what my production colleagues are invariably going through.
Grounded in various real-life professions – including the police force, journalism, publishing, industrial espionage (where the versatile acting skills were honed), teaching, and managing a pub - resulting in a broad frame of reference from which to draw, when acting.
Committed to the philosophy that the success of the show comes before personal concerns, and keen to do the best job possible with any role taken on - from Background, to Lead, to Director, to Producer, to whatever.
Situated on the Bucks/Berks border, within close distance of Heathrow, and both Shepperton and Pinewood studios.
