I currently have no career experience in voice acting. I am an amateur voice actor looking to gain said experience through whatever doors open to me, however small the entranceway.
I have had years of experience in public speaking, often giving briefings or presentations in front of groups ranging from 10-100 in size.
Though I have no formal training, I have held some important roles in plays/musicals for high school and church. I have also written, produced, and acted in my own short film for a high school media class. Additionally I have played Trombone for a number of years.
With this light experience in a variety of performing arts, and several years to reflect and learn from my experience, I believe I can readily understand and apply suggestions to my style.
Philosophy: I have a strong desire to get to know the characters that I play in games or watch on shows. I enjoy finding out about them - their histories, what shaped them, their personalities and how they respond to situations. It's always a treat to find a character that I can identify with.
I believe it's imperative for a voice actor to study the character as best as they are able, researching their background through manga or other creator material, as well as looking at the traits of similar characters.
Background: For three years I trained to be a military officer, where I learned how to properly command and train subordinates. I think this translates well into my voice of authority.
