After a lengthy hiatus from the industry, I've decided to re-ignite my passion for voicework. I worked in radio as an on-air talent for nearly 10 years back in the early 2000's, mainly in Top 40/CHR. That genre allowed me to range from serious PSA's and news stories to high-energy club events and concert promotions.
While living in Anchorage, Alaska, I was a part of multi-layered spots for nightclubs (Club Millennium, Club X-Static, Club @, etc.) and car dealerships (Cal Worthington, JPS Cars, U-Park, We Sell) in and around the area. I also had voiceover work on television with Lightspeed Lube Center & Sicily's Pizza.
The training I had was mostly on-the-job. As an on-air talent for 2 radio stations with an 18-55 demographic, I was given a level of creative freedom during my afternoon-drive and night shifts. This allowed me to perform prank calls and the different voices needed for creative radio spots. I also became familiar with audio editing software, music overlays, production, etc.
