While no recordings are present, I used to provide news casts, advertisements, and promotions on a radio station 20 years ago.
My voice over demo is an excerpt from an interactive computer presentation. The producer uses me as the reader for Scriptural commentaries created in the Apostolic/Early Church Fathers period. With some echo added, my voice is also the voice of God's in this presentation.
I will have earned a graduate degree in Theology in May 2006. My undergrad degree is not related to voice over work, but even early on people noticed my voice and asked me to complete radio voiceovers, voiceover work, phone greetings, etc. This was on an informal basis.
I used to work part-time at a pizza restaurant, and I would be working at the bar. Patrons would deliberately ask to have the sound system at the bar deactivated so that I would need to call out their orders over the crowd.
While taking courses in Byzantine Chant people noted that my voice tended to fill whatever building I was in. Eventually others suggested to me that I should be doig more to advertise my voice.
I am a team player and easy to work with. My patience is not tested by needing to re-record parts, as I understand the producer/director is needing a certain desired effect from my voice.
