i've been fortunate to be repped by a very well-respected vo agency for quite awhile now, & have read for a variety of things. Everything from features ('Saw' franchise), Animated series (Robot Chicken, Family Guy, etc.), & of course commercials...most recently a couple spots for Toyota. But, since I also freelance I've been reading a lot lately for individual projects such as site announcers, audiobooks, company voicemails, etc. I really enjoy freelancing because the jobs are always so different! ;-)
Improv~The Groundlings, I/O West, etc...
Also taken scene study/analysis, cold reading, & scene breakdown with some well known names in the biz...(Aaron Speiser, etc.)
I have my own home recording where my 2 main pieces are my MacBook Pro & a Shure G42 mic. I use a few different audio recording apps depending on the job...
I do all my own recording, editing, sound effects, etc, which really helps because it eliminates the middleman which keeps price down...
I'm great at improv....it comes very natural to me and is a big part of my training. It really comes in handy when some clients/companies don't know what they want, so it allows me to get to play and think of things that they might otherwise haven't thought of...
Now that's pretty cool...don't you think? ;-)
