After a few years with Voice 123, I feel confident recording anything sent to me--as long as it is appropriate for my voice. I have taken seminars on audiobooks and animation. I keep working at my craft with weekly professional classes in Los Angeles. I have done public speaking all my life. As a musician, I ran many workshops; lectured, and both taught and performed. I love reading out loud, and do so weekly for school kids through the SAG BookPals program. I was a children's docent for 6 years at The Southwest Museum in Los Angeles. Now, as an actor on stage and in TV and film, I have even more opportunities to speak---in many different ways.
A professional VO talent in Los Angeles chose me for a radio spot a few years ago, which was the start of my voiceover career. This mentor, teacher and friend says I have "the perfect older woman voice" but am also "completely against style." He's responsible for some of my demo reels and for setting me up with home recording equipment.
i now have a VO agent, and I've booked several projects for Voice123. For instance, one was a TV spot for a children's advocacy program; the most recent for a colleges' fund raiser award dinner honoring a donor.

I am fully grounded in the arts. I enjoy story telling, teaching, and public speaking. I am an excellent writer, and I can whip off a humorous sonnet with no trouble! I draw. I've written several monologues and a one-act play.
I'm an unusual woman in that, at an age where many are considering retiring, I have plunged boldly into a new and challenging career. I gave up music in order to "follow my bliss" and pursue a lifetime dream of acting. I now dedicate myself 100% to what I do. I am stubborn, fearless, hard working, and totally committed.
I'm a mother and grandmother. I've worked a lot with children, as teacher and docent. I'm gregarious, and love meeting people. I think of myself as a combination of traditional and non-traditional. I'm a great cook, a fine decorator, a vigorous and health conscious exerciser. As an older woman, I can also sound contemporary and "hip" when necessary.
I'm a hard and tireless worker, and a dedicated actor.
