I presently work in Los Angeles, Ca. for a TV/Radio Network called: Entravision Communications. I've being working for them for about 6 yrs and had about 3 yrs of freelance experience prior to that. Being also a well trained musician as well as a home studio producer, it has opened my abilities to expand my creative imagination; such as, composing and arranging songs, lyrics and jingles. I pretty much love anything that has to do with " The Art Of Sound "
I graduated from Pioneer High School, which is located in Northern California, then transfer to San Jose State University right after my Señior level in 1992. I continue there for about 3yrs, then took several music classes at DeAnza College to pursue my music and radio career much faster. Eventually, by the late 90's, I was already composing and recording original songs at home. At the same time, I started networking with a few local radio stations back then, who also helped me and my Rock En Español band "Mundo Vacio" to promote us live at massive events. Thanks to my present job at Entravision Communications, I've gained so much knowledge and preparation to expand my music and radio business even more. It has helped me to understand and become more avanguard to all aspects of our modern marketing for global or local demands through their corporate seminars...!!!
I'm currently using the following equipment on a regular basis: Wheatstone G-5/8 -Channel Digital On-Air Console on a Windows PC platform, Control-1 JBL Audio Monitors, Presonus-VXP dual mic preamp (with compressor, expander, de-esser., equalizer), Dynamic Low z Shure SM7B, Harris-A2D2A converter, Telos One, Tascam-CD/RW/DAT/Cassette, NEC-multisync LCD 176ov Monitors. In terms of software: Sonic Foundry-Vegas/Sound Forge, which carries a full on production library and it also includes samples, sound effects, music beds, etc...!!!
I'm also a director's assistant for the same radio network, which is Entravision communications. So basically at the end of my laborious daily journey, i'm in charge of making sure there's no dead air the next day. Part of the main system tools I deal with everyday are: ENCO Network System, VNC Server Service, PC Anywhere-Scan +. Overall, I pretty much enjoy recording anything at home as well.., which is where I get to use my own recording gear formed by: Cubase 4, M-Audio Monitors, SOLO/610 Universal Audio mic-pre, Focusrite ISA One mic-pre with a Blue Berry mic and my favorite Macintosh Computer Platform made by Apple...!!!
