I am the promotions director for my radio group and I am asked to do reads for specific clients who keep asking for me to be their "guy" to describe the business for them. The production director likes using my voice because I fit many different roles he asks me to do. Slow and Low or High and fast I am the Promo Director who reads his own promos!
Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Music Industry with a Recording Arts and Marketing Minor. In 12 years of working in radio have picked up many tricks from many teachers!
I have easy access to a studio with decent sound quality using adobe audition and an old Shure SM5B through a Mackie Mixer.
I am an avid cyclist, mountain biker and motorcycle rider. I worked my way through college working in bicycle shops so I am well versed in the cycling industry and the odd names some manufacturers use. I wrote and voiced our local :60 daily updates for the Amgen Tour of California. Plus I ride so I know the "lingo" for both industries and can speak to riders. In addition to the sporting world, I also worked as a professional live sound engineer for a local production company so I know the difference between a SM 57 and a beta 58 and what applications they are used best for.
