For a number of years, I have been involved in the 'Talking Newspaper for the Blind' in Harrow, Middlesex and St.Albans, Hertfordshire. I record articles from local news and I write and present the script for a supplement called 'Hearabouts' to the 'Harrow Talking Newspaper'. These are distributed on a memory stick for the listeners once a week.
On Christmas Eve 2008 I read a short Christmas Story live on BBC3 Counties Radio during the Lorna Milton Christmas Show.
I recorded a 'Recovery Booklet' for the Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Centre for Mental Health Recovery at the University of Hertfordshire. The audio CD's were placed in libraries, surgeries and other relevant areas. I was informed that the recording was 'very impressive',and 'will be a great help and inspiration' to those who have difficulty' - Jo Burnham, Public and Patient Involvement Lead.
2011 - Gary Terzza's Voiceover Masterclass
My main career was a secondary school teacher which required me to be very clear in my communication with my pupils. I am a very organised and punctual person. It was essential to be approachable and friendly and I incorporate all of the above into my voice over career.
I am an enthusiastic member of a local Ladies Barbershop Chorus which performs throughout the County and competes in National Competitions. In addition to singing, I introduce the items and link the performances.
