About Brock
I think of my professional voice in terms of the roles I play in real life.
Most important to me is my role as a dad. I’ve used my voice countless times to soothe an anxious kid, to be the voice of reason, or the voice of authority. I use my voice to express love, caring, and to convey needed information clearly.
I’m also kind of a goofball. I love to make people laugh. I love to tell stories, to take on funny voices. I love that feeling when I’m telling a story and I’ve got an audience with me, when my timing is just right and my vocal characters are hitting the right pitches. I’ve certainly known the feeling of losing an audience and I try to learn from it every time.
I spent most of my career in IT doing everything from guiding people to use new technology to leading teams, building or managing incredibly complex technology. I’m that guy who bridges among the different groups, translating tech-speak to business-speak or user-speak and back.

- Experience, training, and equipmentI received training from Suchavoice.com. I have done a few VO projects for friends over the years. I have a very quiet sound booth with a Tascam UH-7000 audio interface and several mics. My main mic is an AKG C214 condenser. I dabble in sound engineering.
