Train-travelled across the United States as a story teller, passing the hat and selling recordings. Upon return, my work was featured on the radio station KPFA in Berkeley. As a volunteer announcer at KPFA, I developed a reputation and was sought ought over a ten-year period to read public service announcements and do on-air translations. Most recently I have been focusing on writing and recording dramatic material.
Took speech classes in high school and at UC Davis. Took two 6-week classes at BATS improv in San Francisco and wrote a sports column in high school. I am an avid theater-goer, and have been constantly volunteering as an usher at the Berkeley Rep and other theaters in the Bay Area for 15 years, allowing me the opportunity to see productions an average of three times and to get a practical sense of what works. I also intensively study recorded material, including the This American Life podcast and Gimlet Media podcasts.
I am a strong communicator; punctual, reliable, enthusiastic, and responsive to feedback. I take initiative as a team player.
