I write and voice narrations, commercials, and message on hold productions for clients in the US, UK, and Canada. I've taught voiceover and commercial writing as a broadcast school teacher and through tutoring.
I've been in broadcasting for over 30 years and have developed voice training and voiceover talent through continual production and mentorship training with some of the best talents in the business.
I convey an ability to converse in a warm, natural and friendly manner. I've also worked hard to develop a deep vocabulary and have studied diligently to master inflection, pacing, and what sounds pleasing to the ear.
I've been a published writer in a major US newspaper (Baltimore Sun) and have served as production director for major market radio stations in Seattle and Baltimore.
I have a Mackie 12 channel board, phone patch, external hard drive, turntable, reel to reel and dual studio CD capability. I utilize cool edit almost exclusively...and have software which allows me to convert audio from just about any form to another with variations of bit rates as well.
Apart from talent and experience, the aspect I offer is follow through, communication, and accountability. I continue working on a project until the client is satisfied. My priority in doing any production is to place myself in the mind of the prospect who hears the piece and ask as objectively as possible...'If I heard this message, would I be moved to act on it?'
I've also managed several Baltimore area radio stations and in every case I managed to innovate strategies and devise sales which increased revenues. I've also served as a consultant on occasion for business people, teaching the art of effective public speaking and dealing with clients.
