While I am specifically the managing partner and creative director of a Toronto based audio production boutique that serves the marketing communications sector, I have often been called on to "lend a voice" when time or project budgets were tight.
Years of doing exactly has generated a pretty serious repetoire of voice work ranging from radio to e-learning and broadcast imaging.
With more and more clients asking specifically for my read on their projects, it now seems like a natural evolution and the perfect time to actively pursue voice assignments.
Clients include; Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (radio), Toronto Hydro (radio), CBC Radio 3 (imaging voice/promo character voice), Tridel (sales presentation materials), Ontario Bluecross (radio), Samsung (radio) Coors Light (radio/as a singer), Iceberg Vodka (radio), Adler International Learning (radio and podcast), Exxon (e-learning character), Suncor (e-learning character)among others
I began doing voice work during my days as an account manager/writer at a Toronto radio station (EZ Rock 97.3fm) before starting my company in late 1999. Of course at a radio station almost everyone is called on to voice from time to time but I was a regular in the booth because I had a very natural, non-announcer style and a healthy range of reads.
Having sang in a series of live performance and recording bands before jumping into advertising, the studio was no stranger to me and voice work has proved a natural progression from performing as a singer.
Since 1999, the studio has been my training ground so to speak.
I attended the University of Toronto for sociology in the early 80's but truth be told majored in spending time with my band rather than studying...probably spent more time on stage or in rehearsal than I did in class. Of course given my current career it was probably the better choice of the two!

A good deal of what I do on a daily basis here in the studio revolves around directing audio sessions for projects spanning broadcast and digital communications platforms.
From radio ads to podcasts and e-learning audio production we are involved in pretty much every area of marketing communcations that is sound enabled.
Copywriting is another important part of what I do here with radio being my favourite medium. More and more though much of my writing work is for e-learning or web. Copy writing projects range from B2C to B2B.
We are also well known custom jingle producers and are particularly known for our work in the sonic branding field.
