From 1967 until 1982, I did radio voiceovers while on the staff of companies ranging from Heritage Broadcasting to ABC Radio.
In 1982, I opened an advertising agency, and continued doing radio voiceovers, and added work for TV ads, special events, phone messaging, training videos, documentaries, and presentations.
I sold the company in 1991, but have continued doing freelance voice work while founding another advertising agency, & writing and producing jingles and other music.
BA from CMU in Speech in 1967. Much of my post-grad work was in radio and television production.
I have always earned my living while managing to continue to work in the studio, even when I was in management situations.
I have a Neumann mike, Shure pre-amp, and Apple computer with all the appropriate recording and editing software.
As always the studio is mine.
While I've spent the past thirty years writing, directing and recording sales & marketing material with the spoken word, The use of technology by my jingle-writing partner and I was the subject of a feature article on the front page of the Wall Street Journal in 1996.
