Life has presented me with plenty of opportunities to use my voice. There are the delicate aspects of my voice, used for buttering up my boyfriend, placating small children and holding silly "conversations" with my Cockateil.
There's also strength and certainty in my voice, which comes in handy when warding off persistent salespeople and commanding attention and respect while working as a tour guide.
I received my Bachelors degree in Broadcast Communications from SUNY College at Buffalo; I also have a minor in Theatre. While in college I was very involved with the college radio station, broadcasting my voice throughout the Buffalo area. Over the years I've worked in radio and television, been involved in theatre, and have taken classes in both voiceover and on-camera commercial work.
For the past two years I have been working as a tour guide. This work requires that a communicate clearly with groups on a daily basis.
Most recently I studied with Voiceover coach Marla Kirben, who is very well-respected in the industry and has prepared me well for work as a voice over talent.
