I just barely got my first demo completed for voice overs through Metropolis in Salt Lake City. My voice over coach is Chris Thurmond, and she has been tremendously helpful towards my voice over talent.
I have recorded an album with my band Herban Empire last summer and received great reviews from a local magazine (slug) and garageband.com.
I attended the University of Utah and received a degree in film studies. I have done acting workshops through McCarty my agency, and in college I did advanced acting for TV/movies with Lynne Van Dam. I did a beginner and advanced workshop for voice over with voice talent Chris Thurmond. Other workshops i attended through the years was a college improv workshop (slow children at play), a high school workshop for improv (bums in the trunk). Currently for work, I teach guitar lessons at a boarding school for troubled teens. I also play in a reggae/alternative band called Herban Empire as the frontman/guitar rhythm & lead. My other gig is playing at a local bar in SLC called greeenstreet every saturday playing acoustic reggae, blues and rock.
The rehearsal studio I play at with my band has an AKG 420 condenser mic. We can either record through his mixer and onto a computer, or record through a handheld tascam digital audio recorder, then transfer it on a jpeg file.
As of right now I am working on my own studio. I have equipment that i use for live gigs ( 2 senheiser e835 dynamic mics, and two samson CO-2 condenser mics). I could use garage band on my macbook. However, I will soon be getting an mbox with logic pro or pro tools.
I am always playing music. songwriting is my specialty. I have also written/acted in a few short films that i have presented at local open mic nights, "Calamity" (film noir parady), and "To the Spuds and Jasper Show" (comedy).
All the other voice related talents consist of my singing abilities through music, and audience interaction during shows, as well as my acting experiences throughout the years.
