This is admittedly my first foray into 'real' voice acting. I have, however, been reading scratch tracks for a cable network for years and have been reading children's books in a wide range of voices to young children for a long time as well. After years of encouragement from friends and family members, I've decided to give this a serious shot.
I have bachelor's degrees in Film Studies and Psychology (Emory '03). More importantly, I have been producing promos for 10 years which, while it hasn't given me personal experience in voice acting (aside from reading scratch tracks, it has given me insurmountable experience with directing voice talent, something I believe is a highly valuable 'soft skill' that many might not consider when booking talent.
I do not personally own any sound equipment aside from a Blue mic, Garage Band, and Final Cut Pro. I do, however, have relationships with virtually every sound recording studio in the Atlanta area.
While not a seasoned voice talent, but I am a seasoned producer and have extensive experience around voice acting. I know how sessions work. I know how to take direction and I know how to ask the right questions if I feel I'm not getting enough direction. I have solid relationships with studios and sound designers all over Atlanta and I'm sure I would be very easy to work with if you decide to take a chance on me.
