I was born into a family of artists and musicians, and began performing on stage at the age of four. Growing up, I was in all of the school and church plays, and musicals, and always in choir. I went to college and graduate school, recieving both degrees in vocal performance. I have been singing and acting professionally since graduating in 1999, and am looking to expand my experience doing studio work. I have done a few national radio, and t.v. spots for McDonald's, and some regional jingles as well.
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree, in Vocal Performance from Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky, 1997.
My Masters degree in Vocal Performance was earned from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, 1999.
I have since done professional theater, recorded national and regional jingle spots, recorded two full-length albums with two different bands (one country, and one jazzy), and also recorded random demos for composers in the Dallas area. I am currently the front woman for the band Shanghai 5, and we are featured on a reality t.v. show coming out in September on PBS; Roadtrip Nation. Shanghai 5 is also a working band, so I am performing live somewhere every weekend.
Being a trained singer, I can read music! Which in my opinion is a dying artform. I have an amazing ear as well, and I am a very fast, and eager learner. I was brought up around professional musicians, and I believe because of that I am very disciplined and extremely professional, as well.
