Like so many things that people end up doing for a living, my getting into voice overs was a complete accident. I loved doing impersonations and would crack one out any chance I got. I am a little bit embarrassed to say, but my big debut was making prank calls to my friends, posing as their boss or supervisor. It would freak them the heck out! Ok, I´ll admit it, it was fun! A little down the line, I was doing the recording at a big corporate event, where one of the most famous comedy troops in all of Austria was performing. As it turned out they had every famous voice covered by somebody in their troop, that is except for one: George W. Bush. It just so happened, I did a mean George W. In line at the buffet I found myself standing shoulder to shoulder with one of the lead performers and for no good reason I laid my Bush on him. His eyes lit up, he grabbed me by the arm and dragged me over to where the rest of the troop was sitting. "Do that again!" he ordered me. So, I did. They went crazy. Next thing I knew, I was playing Bush on National Austrian Radio in the months before and after his highly publicized trip to Austria. And having a blast! The rest, as they say, is history. :-)
